Welcome to the Crazy Crafters blog hop for June. This month we are excited to show off our favourite Stamping' Up! products from the just released 2015 - 2016 Annual Catalog/Catalogue. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!
You may be just starting the blog hop here at my blog - Katie Kaup or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Katie Kaup.
It took awhile for inspiration to come as there are so many products in the new catalogue that I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I decided on the Awesomely Artistic stamp set as it's very versatile and I loved the dragonfly. The Bohemian DSP is also a new favourite of mine with its beautiful colours.
To create this card, I used the Rich Razzleberry ink for the flower and the border around the word "Friend". I cut this border out using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits. I used the Bermuda Bay ink pad for the "Friend" and the splotches behind the flower. To create the dragonflies I stamped them using Island Indigo ink and then stamped just off with the Bermuda Bay to create a shadowed effect.
I had seen the splicing effect done elsewhere and decided to try it with the pictures on the Whisper White Cardstock and it looks great against the Basic Black. I used the Triple Banner Punch to cut the section out of the bottom. Finally utilising Stampin' Dimensionals to make things "pop" off the card and the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little bling and I was done.
I hope you enjoyed this just as much as I did making it!
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss.
