Crazy Crafters Blog Hop July 2015

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Bog Hop for July. This month we are showcasing our favourite Stampin' Up! colour combinations. We hope you find great inspiration from our projects. Get your colour wish-list ready!
You may be just starting the blog hop here at my blog - Katie Kaup or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Katie Kaup.

I couldn't decide between my two favourite colour combinations so I have created two projects showcasing them both!!!

The colour combo I have chosen here is Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party. I found they just look so fun together and really pop! I used the Celebrate Today Stamp Set for the "happy birthday" and fussy-cut them out with scissors. For the 3D balloon, I used the Balloon Framelits dies, and just cut a whole heap out. I used the Triple Banner Punch for the birthday banners and I used the Banner Punch with the use of a post-it for the bows on the string.

I really really LOVE this stamp set. Its the new Awesomely Artistic and it is just gorgeous!
I created this card using the Awesomely Artistic and Butterfly Basics Stamp Sets. The colour combo used for this was Sahara Sand, Bermuda Bay, Elegant Eggplant and Rose Red. The dragonfly and flowers were both fussy-cut out and applied with Stampin' Dimensionals just to bring them off the card.
I really LOVE how this card turned out... Simple yet elegant!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop June 2015

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters blog hop for June. This month we are excited to show off our favourite Stamping' Up! products from the just released 2015 - 2016 Annual Catalog/Catalogue. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!
You may be just starting the blog hop here at my blog - Katie Kaup or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Katie Kaup.
It took awhile for inspiration to come as there are so many products in the new catalogue that I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I decided on the Awesomely Artistic stamp set as it's very versatile and I loved the dragonfly. The Bohemian DSP is also a new favourite of mine with its beautiful colours.
To create this card, I used the Rich Razzleberry ink for the flower and the border around the word "Friend". I cut this border out using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits. I used the Bermuda Bay ink pad for the "Friend" and the splotches behind the flower. To create the dragonflies I stamped them using Island Indigo ink and then stamped just off with the Bermuda Bay to create a shadowed effect.
I had seen the splicing effect done elsewhere and decided to try it with the pictures on the Whisper White Cardstock and it looks great against the Basic Black. I used the Triple Banner Punch to cut the section out of the bottom. Finally utilising Stampin' Dimensionals to make things "pop" off the card and the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little bling and I was done.
I hope you enjoyed this just as much as I did making it!
